This privacy policy has been compiled by Teeth Whitening Associates (TWA) to better serve those who are concerned with how their ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) is being used online. PII is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context.
Please read this privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how TWA collects, uses, protects, or otherwise handles your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with TWA’s website.

- TWA collects personal information from you, including information about your:
- name
- contact information
- location
- computer or network
- interactions with us
- billing or purchase information
- TWA collects your personal information in order to:
- Update our records and contact our members with pertinent info and industry news, in line with the New Zealand Cosmetic Teeth Whitening Association.
- Have direct contact with those practising, or interested in practising in the future, teeth whitening procedures on the general public.
- Process and send orders you make via our online wholesale shop.
- Besides TWA staff, we share this information with:
- The NZCTWA in order to regulate the teeth whitening industry in New Zealand, and with all intents and purpose, Australia.
- TWA collects personal information from you, including information about your:
- Using TWA website and services
- Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to enter your business name and details, we’ll be unable to supply you with teeth whitening products or up-to-date, relevant training.
- If you choose not to enter your contact details when enquiring, we’ll be unable to provide any details about our business packages or teeth whitening products and training.
- We keep your information safe by storing it in secure files and never sharing or selling the information or data we hold with anybody outside our organisation.

- Tracking
- Along with third-party vendors Google, TWA uses a first-party cookie; the Google Analytics cookie, to compile data regarding website users’ interaction related to our website.
- You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt out by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative Opt-Out page or by using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser add on.
- You can choose to turn off all browser cookies through your browser settings. If all cookies are turned off, some of the features that make your website experience more efficient may not function fully.
- TWA honours Do Not Track signals and does not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place.
- When using the payment gateway Stripe, data will be passed to this third party, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and your billing information.
- TWA website uses the Meta tracking pixel, relating to its visitors’ online behaviour when visiting our website from Meta, organically or via an ad. Meta as a third party have their own data analytics and preferences, TWA have no responsibility for collection of Meta information data.
- Payment
- TWA does not record or hold copies of credit card details. Payment is securely processed via your nominated bank account to TWA’s nominated bank account. Alternatively, you can choose to process payment via credit card, using Stripe, which uses superior SSL technology to keep your information safe. Third party payment gateways use their own tracking data (see point 3.v. above).
- ii) According to IRD laws, financial data must be kept on record for at least seven (7) years; therefore, TWA does not delete or amend data on invoices and financial accounts for a minimum of this period.
- Third-party links
Occasionally, at TWA’s discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. TWA therefore haves no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.
We suggest taking care when submitting data to other websites and to read data protection and privacy policies fully. TWA seeks to protect the integrity of our website and we welcome feedback about any linked sites.
- Privacy Policy Changes
Although most changes are likely to be minor, Teeth Whitening Associates may change this Privacy Policy from time to time, under our sole discretion.
